Anchor saved for Glenn Beck says that Donald Trump told him the real reason behind his changes against the expansion of the White House, amid criticism of the White Remodeling project.
“It’s not because you love gold; you do it to achieve power and wealth,” Beck said, speaking on a recent episode of Glenn Beck showed.

Beck said he discussed the ballroom plans with Trump at the “private compound” of the White House during a recent visit, where the President revealed the reason for the move.
“[He said] See all the gold? It is very important. The leaders of other countries – they all come from households, and they don’t understand. And I know the White House is different, America is different, but it understands power in a different way,” Beck recalls.

“They come from old countries and these big buildings and these palaces. And it’s important that we work hard.”
He added: “That’s why he does it. It’s not because he likes gold; he did it to make himself a Project Manager.
“You know the language they’re speaking and not the body language or the spoken language. That’s just what protocol is all about – everything means something.”
BEBK also said that Trump was “surprised” that he could make changes to famous and historic buildings, but since the construction permit process was controlled by the President himself, he was able to do it “as briefly as he did.”
