The best Seiko 5 sports watches you can buy
Part of the SKX series, the SRPD55 is a modern icon. Why? The reason comes from when the series gets its name. Seiko’s Skx007 (and the brightly colored skx009) was a certified dive watch that gained a legion of fans due to its impeccable design, durability, reliability, reliability and reasonable price. It shared many of the key principles of the Seiko 5, but did not wear the Seiko 5 name.
It was discontinued just before the Seiko 5 Sports rebrand in 2019, but it lives on (in spirit, at least) in the SRPD55, without the guaranteed water resistance, which does 100 meters instead. The SRPD55 is as close to the current SKX000077 as you can get, and, considering the quality, reliability, and underground style, it’s a sweet buy for $350. It’s a great everyday watch, and probably the first automatic, too.

The SSK005 sits near the top of the SKX line, and while the price is on the lower end of what you’ll pay for 5 games, you get a lot for it. The SSK005 is a GMT watch, which means it has a 24-hour hand to tell the time in seconds, but that’s not the only reason it’s on this list.
It’s important to note the model number here, because it’s related to the Seiko 5 GMT with its amazing bezel and black bezel, which only gives the date on the dial the actual date.
