Food Network Star Tobias Dorzon recounts the night he was shot 11 times during an armed robbery.
In an interview with CANID and People Magazine, Dorzon – who appeared in Guy Fieri’s games “and “Champion of Champions” – It is shown on the night of November 5, 2024, where he was shot by a group of armed robbers and details that he was able to survive the terrible attack.

Dorzon said he and Swan had just gotten out of their Uber when they saw a group approaching them with guns drawn.
Later that night, he wanted to go without his security detail.
“You get that last second of thought and you almost think, are you still going to be here?
“At that point, I think they’re going to finish me off a lot,” said Dorzon, who recalled his hands being covered in blood.
Dorzon was shot 11 times. His girlfriend Swan was also hit and fell in the front yard.
Dorzon was able to catch up with his brother by placing his phone on the curb where he fell, while a neighbor called 911 for help.
According to charging documents obtained by WJLA, authorities said the stolen items — including Dorzon’s Audemars Budemeet Watches and his diamond necklace — were worth about $100,000 in total.

The five suspects fled the scene in a stolen car. Authorities later identified one of the suspects as Devin Demetrius Spivey, according to the people. Spivey, who has pleaded not guilty, faces 18 counts, including attempted first- and second-degree murder, second-degree assault, armed robbery and robbery.
“It’s still an ongoing investigation and there are many other suspects at large,” Spivey’s attorney, Brendan Callahan, told People. “There are many unanswered questions in this case and we hope that the investigation will reveal that Deveni Spivey did not shoot Mr. Dorzon.”
Dorzon, whose girlfriend survived with difficulty, was told that she might not be able to walk again because of the severe injury she received below her knee.

“I didn’t really know what to take from it all,” he told the outlet. “For someone who has never been in trouble, I thought about coming home to build something in my town, being a local hero, something like this will never happen to me.”
“I ask myself every day, ‘Was I wrong to go out that night? Shouldn’t I have gone out that night?’ It’s so many different things I’m wondering, but here I am. I tell myself every day that God has found a great purpose for me. “
Dorzon spent two months in the hospital recuperating from multiple surgeries that continued with multiple surgeries and rounds of physical therapy, as seen on his Instagram.
He also received support from the fieri.

“Even after the shooting, he was always checking in with me, making sure the medical staff was taking care of me, giving everyone food,” Fieri said. “You’ve been here for me the whole time, every step of the way.”
Now, Dorzon – who is returning to TV with the premiere of “Food Network’s Champions: All-Star Christmas” – is being replaced in the afterlife shooting.

The chef has lost feeling in one of his fingers, making it difficult for him to move as quickly as he likes in the kitchen. Still, he’s thankful for his recovery.
“I’m so grateful to be here, to be on the edge and be able to cook and give people an experience,” she said. “That has always been my biggest focus and my dream, to create memorable dining experiences for others.”
