CICC and Juanhand Partner to strengthen cybercrime protection and promote reliable digital currency

The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) and the leading Fintech platform juanhand, under the cooperation agreement group, have officially signed a memorandum of agreement (Moa) to collaborate on Internet security, and to improve responsible financial practices among Filipino consumers.

The partnership highlights several key areas of collaboration, including:
- Development of policies and programs to prevent cybercrime;
- Related assistance and communication with agencies involved in the investigation and reporting of online financial crimes;
- Joint Training, Capacity Building, and Intelligence Sharing in cyber fraud and Fintech related cases; and
- Public awareness campaigns that promote online safety and digital responsible financial behavior.

Under the MOA, the CICC will maintain a Cybercrime Coordination Center (C3) to continue to receive reports of illegal money lending, coordinate with relevant government agencies for investigation and prosecution, and help ensure good coordination among Fintech practitioners.
