We feel that the monarch has a steeper learning curve than some other budget trackers and that some aspects of the app are more complicated than they need to be. But it offers a lot of customization and barking, which is in our bad opinion.
On the main dashboard, you will see your net worth and your recent transactions, spending compared to the previous month, your income up to the month and details on future expenses, investments and goals you have set. There is also a link to the monthly review page, which provides an in-depth overview of what happened with your money that month. You’ll also be able to take a peek at your net worth over time.
Monarch can connect to your bank and track apple card, apple accounts and savings accounts. It can pull in your transactions and billing history automatically and find your recurring expenses and income. The app can keep your car cat up to date. While it can take a little work to set up a master (and you may need to enter things here and there), a detailed budgeting app can help you keep better track of your expenses and net worth.
If you’re a former mint user (RIP), monarch coins are a great alternative if you haven’t found an alternative to the mint.
