“Affordability” was a hot button word in the 2025 campaign field, as Democrats distanced themselves from the biden-era economy and President Donald Trump’s attacks on living financial woes.
And on Friday, the main hero of the “Cheap” Platform in the 2025 election cycle, New York City socialite Mamdani, will go to the White House for his first meeting with Trump.

“I know that tens of thousands of New Yorkers, this meeting is between two different partners who voted, for the same reason,” said Mamdani on Thursday about his meeting with Trump. “They were looking for a leader who will take the cost of living. That makes it difficult for people to work to pay for living in this house.”
A winning economic plan is nothing new for the President, however, considering his first administration and election platform did not focus on pulling the US out of the economic hole. And Trump made a claim about the term “Ashift” while taking a shot at the Biden administration’s record for numbers.

It should be our Word, not theirs,” Trump said Friday evening during the McDonald’s Impact Summit 2025 in Washington. “Because the Democrats woke up with access, it’s in front of them. And they’re not saying they have the worst inflation in history, the highest prices in history. Everything was very affordable.”
The White House told FOX News Digital on Tuesday that Democrats don’t have “a leg up behind Biden’s deals, when he has argued against tariffs that have translated into American jobs and lower costs since his first term in office.

Voters during the Federal election are elections that point to the economy so far and far from their top problem. Americans flocked to the polls last year with their brains in check, supporting Trump at the polls as the majority of voters show that most voters can afford food, health care, gas by gas FOX News Voter.

Former Trump White House House Official and US Senate candidate in Alabama, Morgan Murphy, told fox digital news “Listening to Democrats on the economy makes your sense of advice thankful.”
“The same people who borrowed against inflation, tried to shut down the US economy by shutting down the government for 43 days, and they just elected a full-blown Communist to lead New York,” Murphy said. “They talk cheap but they keep touching the American people. The American people are fighting economically with a hangover because of bidenomics.”
In early November, Trump noted that Democrats were leaning on the term “new name” while chastising Republicans for not developing enough common platforms.

“They have this new term called AFFAFALIC and (Republicans) don’t talk about it enough,” Trump said during an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier after the election. “Democrats are doing it because we’re impressed. Think about power. Power used to be expensive, and now I have half of what it was.”
Mamdani and Trump are expected to have a heated relationship in the upcoming mayoral election in January, with the White House’s Spox Karoline Leavett describing Mamdani as the Paper Wing of the Democratic Party, while adding that Trump’s door is open to any US leader.
