Former Sen. Joe Manchin, w. VA., which called on the Democratic leadership on Thursday, said that they are reducing the border to the states of the United States that re-elected President Donald Trump.
Manchin, a former Democrat, spoke with Terry Moran in a live interview at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin, Texas. Manchin criticized the leadership of both parties, but said the Biden administration is placing too much blame on the nation’s border crime. When Moran asked what Trump was doing well, Manchin offered a blue-collar, yet sweet answer.
“The border,” Manchin said.
“Even the way he did it?” Moran asked.

“Nope,” Manchin said. “He said the right thing. Securing the border was the right thing to do.”
He continued the mistreatment of that issue, saying, “They can’t even say that we made a mistake. I asked them not to do that at the border.”
The mismanagement of the border, Manchin said, has given Trump “all the cover he needs to do all these crazy things that are happening.”
“Joe Beniden’s failure?” Moran asked for clarification.
It confirmed that “the failure of the Democratic Party led to Joe Biden,” it confirmed.
Manchin also survived “Trump’s state of crime” in the context of “saying that he will react differently than those governors who resist federal aid and fight to cut the government too much.”

“When I was governor, if I had a crime-ridden area and I didn’t have the resources to take care of it, I would invite it in,” Manchin said, referring to Trump’s use of the National Guard. “Bring the marches, bring the air power, bring it all!”
