Two games to play about cheese, and spooky campfire stories with a twist

After taking a break from playdate following season two and the amazing experience that was there Blippo +I finally started dusting off my little yellow console this week and going back. And what better place to start than a few games with cheese? Cheese ‘n Crackers and Say it when! Both hit the PlayDATE catalog recently, but despite the similarities, they are two very different games. As an additional (non-cheese related) treat, I also had one Were-wolf campfire storiesfree game on itch.io That’s actually more than a dozen bite-to-one games.
Cheese ‘n Crackers
When it comes to cleaning, everyone has found something they like. Some crave the oily explosion of Umami, while for others, the savory approach can always hit the spot. Or maybe you’re like me, and if you have, it needs to follow someone else. Creating a snack that hits it is what it is that’s it Cheese ‘n Crackers it’s about.
In this playdate game, you have the basic Charcuterie Board with all the fixins imaginable. There are meats, cheeses, spreads, spices, vegetables, fruits and various types of crackers and decorative breads for those topics. You should combine the ingredients to make the perfect snack for whatever group you are serving that cycle. Each group – such as Speed Dater or Grandma’s Bridge Club – has a specific set of guidelines that may include preferences, food restrictions or arguments for certain tastes.
It is based on the Playdate fire n crackers game which shows a cutting board with various foods, vegetables, cheese and crackers (Good software software)
While the pairing ingredients are accurate, there are certain combinations that will get you more points, so you’ll have to pay attention to the descriptions of each food item. Or, you can turn to Cheese ‘n Crackers A compatibility spreadsheet for all this information in one place. Yes, that exists, and it is a daunting task for the Culinary organization. The toppings will go well the longer they last, so you won’t want to spend too much time hitting the spreadsheet, but it’s still a low-stress game that you can play at your own pace. For the more competitive among us, however, there are leaderboards so you can challenge yourself with scores to beat.
Say it when!
These are our cheesiest games, with Root Bear–As a plot we see you tending the revolving door of restaurants and trying to measure the right amount of cheese for their food using a crank. And despite being called Say it when!your customers (mostly at allhelpfully) he won’t actually say “there” to let you know you can stop crying; You have to pay attention to the different things that tell when they are satisfied – the decline of the mustache, the change in the facial expression, etc.

You’re on the PlayDate Game right there! It shows a man wearing dark glasses sitting at a table, with a bowl in front of him. The grated cheese pours into the container from the cheese grater that floats above it (SMAPHTOAD Studios)
There is a customer satisfaction meter at the top of the screen that will take a hit any time you are humbled or owned by Cheese, or suffer when you are down on the ground, fired. After each change, you will be given the option to use a modifier that can help you out in areas such as customer satisfaction or getting the boss on your back. To mix things up, there are also mini-games that pop up between your shifts. You might hit a cheeseburger and have to change gears and save the life of a chasing customer, for example.
It’s fast, it’s stupid and it’s very hard to put down once you get going.
Were-wolf campfire stories
While the Playdate catalog has many great titles to choose from, there are many gems -I where you should also check. One such example Were-wolf campfire storiesa unique package of 14 mini games for free itch.io. It is the result of a collaboration between 15 engineering teams – including the engineers of Extraterrestrial Dreamsvery short life cycle, Something that is excessive and other popular gaming titles.
By definition:
between Were-Wolf Campfire Stories, 5 kids are sitting by the fire with their mentor telling spoooooky stories! Each story starts a different game that you can win or lose…. with results.
It’s a cool format, and there’s a lot of variety between games, one that only takes a few minutes to get through most of it. They are all very different, so expect bats, ghosts and skeletons galore. It’s a great way to get a taste of some of the many different game styles you’ll encounter on a playdate, and maybe even find some developers whose games you haven’t checked out yet.
