Country star Randy Travis releases holiday recording 12 years after stroke

Randy Travis knows the reason for the season – faith, family and friends.
After suffering in marriage more than 12 years ago where his speaking skills were limited, the famous country singer relies on artistic creativity to create music and connect with fans.
Taking a step away from AI, the wife of Travis, told exclusively to FOX News Digital that the couple invented it last Christmas when he died with the recording of his holidays to bring the holidays to life.

“It’s been a while since they had a Christmas album,” Mary said. “We didn’t know where we were going to be when we were further down the road than we had expected after 12 and a half years.
He added, “and you have a new Christmas song, of course, you know, I know, I’m getting into the Christmas mood by playing Randy Travis’ music.”
“We didn’t know where we were going to be on the way to the end of the road than expected after having a stroke 12 and a half years ago.”
“So this one, I’m so happy that I get to put this together and be home for Christmas this year after being on the road so much. So it’s just a matter of time.”

“Where my heart was recorded before Randy’s stroke. In 2013, the “eternal singer, Ameni” was admitted to the hospital due to heart failure caused by viral cardiomyopathy. A blood clot formed in his heart caused it to rupture, which left him partially paralyzed and affected his speech.

Hearing the sound of Randy singing brought back many emotions for the Travis family.

“You come and go where you want, when your heart is Christmas,” Mariya commented. “I think it is, it’s a great appreciation for life, time, and those you love.”
“And as I always say, you love those whom God has loaned to you because one day you will need them back, and Christmas is the right time to hold them tight.”

He admitted that it “took a while” for the family to get used to hearing Randy’s voice, but then he returned to the public and it reminded Mary how strong her husband really is.
“And as I always say, you love those who God blesses you with because one day you will need them back.”
“The voice is just an icon, it’s one of a kind. I know she would give anything in the world to be able to sing like that,” she said. “But the fact that he’s good outside of just singing, to me, makes him more of a human mountain, if you like going back.

Mary agreed that Randy’s faith adorns their families everywhere. Releasing new holiday music has been a “Cathartic” experience.

“Not only did he have country music and whatever fun he did and the movies he did, but Christmas was always warm,” Mariya remembers. “It means a lot because of the time of year when it comes together and it’s taken from your faith, your family, your friends, everything … and the fans, obviously, Randa’s fans.
“The voice is just an icon, it’s one of a kind. I know she would give anything in the world to be able to sing like that.”
“They’ve been waiting for him and they’ve been kind enough to do that, so it’s a time when you can slow down enough to hold on.”
More than anything else, Mary and Randy are grateful to the world star who had the opportunity to help shape the genre before his side with the songs and songs that will be there.

“Our diminished talents are not defined by the infinite truth that this music has written, and will exist throughout history,” said Mary. “And it’s like everything else in life, we don’t really appreciate it until it’s gone.

“His voice was sure that God gave it to God. And I don’t think Randy ever took it for granted because he didn’t take anything that I know.”
He added, “But I think that after the stroke, you have a better understanding that it was a gift that existed, there was a time for it. And now we have not stopped trying something new and different.”
