Danny Masterson has been accused of anti-sociology for choosing to decriminalize rape

Former TV personality Danny Masterson says a combination of his defense attorney’s failures and a scientifically flawed police investigation led to his conviction on two counts of rape, according to a lengthy lawsuit filed Monday.

Markerson, 49, was sentenced to 30 years in prison in September 2023 after a jury found that he sexually assaulted two women in the early 1990s, and when he died, he played the mercurial Steven Hyde on the sitcom “That 70s Show.”

Markerson met with both victims at Science Sunday at the time, and the church’s teaching was also condemned at the trial, and the victims said they were disappointed because they reported the actor to the police for years.

Markerson began a first-degree rape trial in 2020, but the jury was still dead on his early rape charges.

In a 183-page filing made public on Monday, attorney Eric Multhaup sought to consolidate the errors by Phillip Phillip Cohen and that explained that Masterson’s faith-based investigation led to wrongful convictions.

“The unfairness of Masterson’s second trial is the result of prosecutorial misconduct, judicial bias, and the failure of defense counsel to present the best evidence,” the statement said. “The Habea Corpus Petition is accompanied by 65 documents documenting evidence of innocence that may have been presented, but was not. The jury is heard only when the jury hears its side.”

On the night of the first hearing, Musterson was represented by Cohen and Shawn Hollley, who also represented Dodger Pitcher Trevor Bauer as he faced allegations of sexual harassment at the same time. A request to delay Masterson’s trial to obtain Holley’s plan was denied, and Masterson quickly became frustrated with the Cohens’ defense plan, following the filing.

In the habeas petition, Multhaup pointed out that Cohen failed to call several witnesses who would have provided their testimony, including their friends who they said they met in agreement to do so “for good sex.

Cohen, Holley and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

During his trial, all the women described the victim falling after he served them drinks that led them astray and were abused before sleeping with them. During the hearing, Cohen repeatedly noted that prosecutors presented clear evidence that the victims were under the influence of drugs. But in the habeas motion, Multhaup argued Cohen failed to put forward an “affirmative defense” including that he testified that the sexual intercourse was consistent with the evidence.

A lawyer for the women did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Multhaup also attacked the Los Angeles police investigation and the district attorney’s investigation as unfairly classified as scientific, especially because of the involvement of actress Leah Remini in the case. Remuni, a former scientist, often appeared in support of victims in court and revealed the allegations of his A & E documentary series about the church.

“He was accepted in the motion of the prosecutor as a consultant, expert, authorized arbitrator in the policy and practices of the Church of Science, and Proute for Officeaning Offer,” Motion Read. “He was accepted even though the enemy knew that he had an ongoing vendetta against the petitioner.”

Remuni and a lapd spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Multhaup also pointed out that Cohen failed to call a socuuscount witness to confront a prosecution expert who testified that church teachings would have prevented victims from reporting to the police.

When heard aloud from 2021, the women testified that they were afraid to be honest with the church and their families if they made criminal allegations against Masterson. The church denied those claims. Los Angeles County superior court judge Charlaine Olmedo, who is investigating the case, and ruled that the evidence shows that Science showed that policy.

While Masterson and the church have long been investigating anti-sociology hanged on the case, there have also been allegations that the church and its agents are acting improperly as informants.

A year ago, Olmedo admitted that Masterson’s lawyers were accused of improperly sharing the discovery of the case with Scientology Church. The materials include private conversations between Masterson’s victims and the police and the victims’ home addresses. The church has denied all wrongdoing.

The 2024 re-investigation also revealed allegations that the church had tried to ‘tear off’ the case against Masterson by harassing his law enforcement officials involved in his criminal case involved in his criminal case involved in his criminal case. It is reported that a break in the home of the prosecutor of the leader, Deputy Dist. Atty. Reinhold Mueller, who also said he was harassed and almost “taken off the street” from leading the case, according to the civil lawsuit, police reports and video reviewed by the Times.

Los Angeles police investigators were assigned to the case and also said they were followed and harassed by agents of the church, according to a previous interview with LAPD MOORE. But the county’s investigation failed to substantiate those claims, Moore said at the time.

The church has vehemently denied the claims, arguing that there is not a “scintilla of evidence” to support the allegations of scientific manipulation. A church spokesman did not immediately respond to emails seeking comment Monday.
