Would you believe that the best anime on Netflix isn’t actually an anime? The show I’m talking about Blue Eye Samuraiand it’s anime-inspired pictures that are guaranteed to blow your mind. If you’re ready to finally see what the hype is all about (and trust me, the hype hasn’t built yet), it’s time to stream this EMMY-winning show on Netflix today.
The foundation of Blue Eye Samurai Is that our turtur character is a woman with Half-white, half-woman after seeking revenge in edo-era Japan. Along the way, he gathers some unlikely Allies, each of us with the necessary skills to help him dispatch the sworn men. But some of his enemies command their own small forces, which threaten to turn his righteous quest into a suicidal movement.
The perfect ad for the perfect show
The cast of Blue Eye Samurai including some of Hollywood’s biggest veterans, including George Take (well known Star Trek: The Original Series) as a wise teacher in the integrated Princess portrayed by Brenda Song (better known as A valid point show show). Kenneth Branagh (well known Henry v) plays the mustache-actirling of the show, while masi oko (well known for the TV show Heroes) plays a smoky chef who is dedicated to helping our main character on his quest.
That lead character is played by Maya Erskine (better known as Pen15 series, although I give up on him Mr. and Mrs. Smith), and is perfect as a professional samurai forced to hide both his gender and heritage from a world he is trying to tear apart. Erskine gives the character a stony hardness that hides a passionate anger, and his righteous indignation is contagious. As written, this Samurai is a character that could have been wooden and big, but Erskine breathes so well into his samurai that I expect to jump out of the TV to drink up!

The show also received four creative Emmys, including three for individual achievement in animation and a well-deserved award for outstanding program.
Much better than the buzz
When I started watching Blue Eye SamuraiI didn’t know what I was getting into; I avoided the buzz and just went blind. After that I was blown away by the animation, which all felt more like cartooning than some sort of traditional cartoon. I know I’m reaching Peak Fanboy here, but seriously: just hit the pause button and any frame given to this show looks like a work of art.
Fortunately, Blue Eye Samurai The animation of the killers in the writing, and our protagonist is heard at the same time (he’s like a cowboy character who walks around with a sword instead of a gun instead of a gun instead of a gun instead of a gun instead of a gun instead of a gun instead of a gun instead of a gun. The characters are all very involved, and the first season does a perfect job of building a compelling fictional world.
