YouTube TV is offering subscribers a $20 credit as consolation for the Disney Blackout

YouTube TV has sent subscribers that the $ 20 bill is heading its way with the ongoing exit from Disney, which has led to the fact that many channels will be black on the platform, including ESPN, ABC news and the Disney channel. In an email to subscribers, the YouTube TV team said subscribers should expect to see an email in the coming days about the credit, which will be applied to their next payment after redemption.

“We know it’s disappointing that Disney has run out of content, and we want you to know that we really appreciate your patience,” the email said. YouTube TV and Disney had an October 30 deadline to come to a new agreement regarding Disney content moving forward, but that date was passed without an agreement. Negotiations are ongoing, according to the company. “We’ve been very successful in negotiating with Disney to pay for their content and bring their programming back to YouTube TV,” the group said in an email. If that $20 still isn’t enough to make up for the weeks of lost content, you can always stop your subscription for now.
