Hugh Freeze made one last trip to the field Saturday night following the loss to Kentucky, as the student section loudly cried ‘fire,’ Auburn fired its head coach, according to multiple sources.
An embarrassing loss to Kentucky, in which Aubuln scored three points in a 10-3 loss, was the last straw for the start. He left the sports department and boosters without any other option, as the tigers fell to 1-5 in the sec.

Defensive Coordinator DJ Durkin will serve as the Tigers’ Interim head coach, as Auburn travels to Vareserday on Saturday, before playing the 2025 season.
Auburn will owe HUGH about $15.5 million for the remainder of his contract, according to sources. There were no negotiations regarding the purchase.

The support is there, and most of the influential people ‘Money Power’ are ready to throw high money to the next head coach to keep the players from moving, and to get a quick fix in Prans. There was absolutely no way I was going to wait until the end of the season to make this move. Of course, the fans will continue to show, and you can bet the Tigers will have a strong showing at Vanderbilt next week in terms of fan support.

But, Snow looked like a coach who was lost for words, knowing that it was the last time he would sit on the podium with the black Auburn logo.
Now, we wait to see where the Tigers turn next, and they have a lot of company in college football.
