Russia kills 6 in deadly attack in Kyiv as we focus on Ukraine peace talks

Russia launched an overnight attack on Kyiv that killed at least six people and wounded 13, Ukrainian President Voldkyy Zelenskyy said on Tuesday.

The strikes on residential and social infrastructure buildings came as Uskia and Ukrainian officials met over the weekend in Geneva to discuss a 28-point peace plan to end the four-year war.

Zelenskyy wrote in X that Russia launched 22 missiles of various types and more than 460 drones, four of which entered the affairs of Moldova and Romania.

“This is definitely why all allies must remember that lives need to be saved every single day. Weapons and air defense systems are essential,” he said. “The most important thing now is that all partners move to communicate together, through joint efforts. The pressure on Russia must bring results.”

Lt. Khol. Jeff Tolbert, a spokesman for US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll, told FOX News that Russian officials are in Abu Dhabi on Monday and Tuesday to discuss the framework of the Ukrainian peace process.

“Talks are going well and we remain optimistic. Secretary Driscoll has been very much in sync with the White House and the U.S. Agency as the talks progress,” Tolbert said.
