Marine Veterome Winsome Earle-Sears puts the safety, education and energy of Virginia

– For todayNow you can listen to FOX news headlines!

When my father came to America in Jamaica, he only had $1.75 in his pocket. What he did with him was not wealth or influence, but faith, discipline and common sense. He believed that with education and hard work, anything is possible in America.

His story is my story, and it’s Virginia’s story. It is about hope, opportunity and the belief that government should work for the people, not the other way around.

Virginians want to know: Do you see me? Do you know me? Do you care about me? That virginia I fight for every day. A Virginia where people can safely raise their families, send their children to good schools and be able to keep the lights on.

I’m back in politics – after being away for 20 years, because too many politicians in Richmond and Washington have forgotten that leadership is about service. They are more interested in power than development. That’s why my closing message to Virginians is simple: it’s time for common sense, not vanity.

Virginia Democrats have a problem with violence

Safety that works for everyone

Every Virginian deserves to feel safe in their home, neighborhood, and on their way to work and school. As a US Marine, I stand shoulder to shoulder with the Law Forming Offers and Rections Personnel personnel because they are the ones who respond when danger calls. I believe in accountability, but I also believe in respecting the rule of law and those who protect us.

Jay Jones and others in his group have turned safety into a political issue instead of a public priority. His murderous thoughts have no place in Virginia. We deserve leaders who speak with integrity and act with integrity. And when Democratic party leaders like Abigail Spanberger can’t call for Jay Jones to step down, it’s appropriate.

Education focuses on truth and opportunity

Education changed my life. My father used stumbling in poverty, and I have seen firsthand how it opens seemingly closed doors. That is why as a former president of the Virginia State Board of Education, I believe that parents must be partners in their children’s education. Parents deserve to know what their children are learning and doing for their families.

Abigail Spanberger calls that extreme. I call it common sense. Our schools should teach reading, writing, math and history, not political agendas. Every child deserves a classroom focused on learning and differentiation.

Energy and income for working families

Energy prices are not just numbers on the bill. They decided that families could afford vegetables, heat and gas. I believe in the All-the-ender approach because energy costs are added to everything that is produced. We can keep costs down, protect our environment responsibly and make Virginia energy independent. By focusing on innovation instead of ideology, we can have cleaner air and lower costs at the same time.

Abigail Spanberger and her delegation have received millions of dollars from professional advocacy groups seeking to direct how Virginians live and work. Their plans would raise prices and hurt small businesses. That is not leadership. That makes no sense. I fight for energy policies that make sense for working families and strengthen Virginia’s economy.

Leadership that counts

Throughout the campaign I have met parents, small business owners, veterans and youth all asking for the same thing. They want leaders who listen, lead according to principle and remember that common sense is still relevant. They don’t want politicians who have water.

This election is not about me. It’s about you, Virginia! It’s because we’re allowing the unhealthy overcrowding in Richmond to divide us or because we’re standing together to build a commonwealth that works for everyone.

Time to restore faith in leadership. Time to bring back transparency and accountability to government. It’s time for unity and focus on hard work, respect and love for Virginia. It’s time to let Virginia’s wounds go.

It’s time for common sense, not idleness.
