From my Gmail account, sending to emails containing dates and appointments is easy, and once I got into the habit, I did it almost in sequence. I used to do the same thing with important dates, but by sending it to my wife who will make it a grown up thing. At least by using Skylight Calendar Max it looks like I’m taking responsibility.
Apart from the calendar there is also a nice range of task management widgets. You can set, assign, and manage household tasks for example, and even reward stars for completion. I have yet to come home to witness my daughter Valuming or cleaning her guinea pig’s cage – chores on the list – but they are always marked as perfect. Maybe he applied for the program, or maybe my AI secretary did to him.
If you prefer a list of camps, however, you’re well served with the Skylight UI. Meals, packing lists, routines to dos are easy to create and communicate, and mirror right away through the app, making the grocery shopping trip easier. Add in color coding of people and tasks and it’s easy to follow what’s going on and who’s supposed to do it. There’s a lot here, and it’s well organized.
The Skylight max calendar also has a food planning section – although again, to get the best out of this you need a subscription – it can suggest subscriptions, and generate recipes based on the food list. It’s perfect, and if you can’t bear the thought of thinking about what you have to cook every day then it’s for you. For our family this was a step so far, and the AI recipes produced did not match what we eat, but other users will like it.
Date night?
Over the past few months the skylight calendar has fallen in and out of favor in my family. The ability to upload and sync photos is a nice touch, and having a visual compilation of my favorite photos is a treat when I walk into the kitchen. The strange thing is that the AI assistant also pulls images from emails, as well as good memories from previous birthday parties, I have a combination of product images from the Launcyment Shisment and the Swiss Air Logo in rotation.
Day sync isn’t always seamless, and you should expect to spend a bit of time working through the various menus. Naturally, the better order your existing diary is, the better max. And it’s not really intuitive enough to see if many people add the same event to the Calendar-Stuff Stuff posted in the US is a big example – so there’s still a fair amount of planning required. One thing we all appreciate though is the big notification box that pops up to remind us of the day’s upcoming responsibilities. It’s such a simple thing, but something happens.
The Skylight Max calendar has made organizing my Sunday diary a breeze. It’s great for scrolling and more interactive than a smartphone screen. Did it replace the red ink in the paper planner? Not … yet.
