Publisher Paradox Interactive split with a large order, the studio behind Cities: Skylines II. Order Colossal, which made it original Cities: Skylines Back in 2015, you will move on to something new after completing the last few updates. Intellectual property will remain with the paradox, which today works Cities: Skylines II will be hosted at Iceflake Studios. An in-house team based in Finland will be responsible for all development, including future content updates and the long-awaited Console version, starting in 2026.
The departure comes after two years of trying to leave the sequel to build the city and the reputation of all parties. While the game was originally expected to re-release in October 2023 on PC and Consoles, the launch is limited to PC, with higher specs than announced. The ongoing crises caused tension and poison between the great order and Cities: Skylines the audience. Although this game has reached a stable state, new content has been slow to arrive and there is no part of the launch of the console as the studio exits its project.
