The new godzilla anime turns a boy into an iconic monster

Turns out, we’ve got a little more godzilla to look forward to in the upcoming entry Minus zero and Godzilla X Kong: Supernova, There’s a new anime coming up where the king of the monsters is… a teenage boy?
Apparently the basis of the new series announced at the Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2025. While the art of the time shows the unborn child looking closely at the Iconic monster and using his breath attack, while Godzilla himself is in the background. Art gives the vibes of KaiJu No. 8, which is about turning a mutant boy into a monster, or even My Hero Academia, Since the kid looks like a deku and that thread is about inheriting the rantle. Given that Toho’s Godzilla boss Keiji Ota called the upcoming anime a chance to “express more of both the fear and hope of the modern era,” this similarity may be by design.

What we know about the series right now is that it will be managed by orange (The Trigun Stampede and He stared at me) and IGLOO Studio (My daemon). Orange also has Godzilla experience, he’s done it before One point Anime back in 2021. We’ll have more on this new addition to the franchise as news develops.
