The Ombudsman files the case with the flood connection

The Philippine anti-Frand body on Tuesday filed criminal charges against the law and against the law and several public works officials before the Sandiganbayan, marking the cases brought to court for the flood control project.
The Office of the Ombudsman, through Assistant Ombudsman Jose Dominic F. Clavano IV, said the complaints were filed in the previous Party-B list (MIMARPAs) of Publios-Works. Directors of SunWest Corp. As independent respondents.
Authorities are facing charges of embezzlement of public funds for forging public documents, and violation of the Anti-Corruption Act (RA 3019). Mr Cower is charged with receiving undue financial benefits.
Complaints are from the D289.5 project
Final exam in September Practice. This content was also considered illegal.
Mr. Clavano said the findings show a system that generated unwanted benefits, technical fraud, and misuse of public funds. Because the amount involved in the damage exceeds P8.8 million, the Ombudsman does not recommend bail for misdemeanor charges.
“This is the first case against ICE and the first to be brought to court,” Mr. Clavano told a press conference. “This is the first of many cases to be filed. Several others are in the preliminary investigation and fact-finding stages. The Office of the Ombudsman will pursue these cases vigorously, independently, and externally.”
Mr. CO, the founder of SunWest Corp. who returned his shares in 2019 to enter public office, resigned from the Congress in September in September it was reported to be in the process of treatment. He later spoke of “credible and serious threats” to his life and his lawyer Ruby Alberto S. Rondain confirmed that he would not be extradited, calling the process “unfairly preachy.”
The Ombudsman previously confirmed that Mr CO waived his right to file an affidavit after his staff reportedly refused to receive a formal order. Mr Rondain described this decision as a strategic plan, accusing the Ombudsman of possibly “spoiling” the case. Mr CO is up for any offense.
He released a series of video statements over the weekend, breaking the silence on the issue when President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Amenah F. Pangandaman was installed.
The government wants to force his return, with the Department of Justice (DoJ) requesting a blue notice from Interpol and planning to seek a red notice if the Sandiganbayan proves the case to be final.
Malacañang assured the Philippine government will provide him, should he decide to return to the country.
In a press conference on Tuesday, Balli Press Off Carrissa A. Castro said that the government defends the protection “from any Office of the Ombudsman and points out that if he gets his life he should go back to his country.
“Any Filipino who returns to the country and says his life is in danger will be given the protection of the government,” he told a press conference in the Philippines. “And based on what we have heard, the Office of the Ombudsman has also said that it will protect him.”
ICI accepted the filing, which comes less than two months since it recommended it on September 29. “Finally, arrest warrants will be issued, and these people will be brought to court.”
“People are understandably impatient and frustrated, but we need to make sure that those responsible are properly dealt with,” added Mr Dizon. He said that, unlike the “pig” Scandal, the current case progressed in court at a rapid pace.
“If you look at the last big scandal, the napeles case, it took almost a year to fill the Ombudsman in the cases that will come to July, from July 2014. – Erika Mae P. Sinoaking and Chloe Mari A. Hufana
