The DJI NEO has recently been pulled from our list of the best drones thanks to the new Neo 2, but the original is still a great, friendly option. We called it the “Best $200 Drone Ever Made” in our official review, and for good reason. It’s fast, ultra-maneuverable and start-friendly. The learning curve here is zero.
It boasts four guards, to keep them safe, and a built-in 4K camera certainly gets the job done. It is very light, weighing 135 grams. This makes it easier to transport, sure, but it also means that the Neo is not exempt from Drone license requirements.
This version does not feature a dedicated controller, although there is a combo pack for that, but that definitely doesn’t matter here. Neo can be controlled by hand gestures, human voice, mobile app or standard RC controller.
